The First Aid Station
ANIMA’s First Aid Station is located in Kallithea, at 134 Menelaou street, two minutes walking distance from Tavros railway station.
It has been licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources decision no (ΥΠΕΝ/ΔΔΔ/88658/2929/2022).
It has a small clinic, a pharmacy, incubators and short-stay rooms for animals under care. All animals found outside Attica are initially brought to the station, while hundreds of our fellow citizens bring in wild animals they find in Attica every day.
The Wildlife Care Centre in the Municipality of Saronikos
ANIMA – Association for the Protection and Care of Wildlife, operates the Wildlife Care Centre in the municipality of Saronikos which was licensed by the no. EΠEN/ΔΔΔ/54344/1692 decision of 17/5/2023, based on article 14 of the joint ministerial decision (KYA) of the Deputy Ministers of Environment and Energy – Rural Development and Food (Government Gazette B 4744/8-9-2022).
In an area of seven acres there are cages for the accommodation of large and small predators, seed-eating and insect-eating birds, carnivorous mammals, hedgehogs and tortoises. There is also a fully equipped clinic, food and tool storage areas and a small office.
The Unit in the Diomedes Botanical Garden
The Ioulia and Alexandros N. Diomedes Foundation has made available for ANIMA to use two acres within the Botanical Garden, in the forest section, where ANIMA maintains a small bird and tortoise shelter. The area is open to schools after consultation with our environmental education specialists.
